Brief description of the organization
University of Nova Gorica (UNG) is an internationally oriented and research-driven university that combines excellence in scientific research with innovative and interdisciplinary study programmes. With modern infrastructure, close collaboration with research institutes, and strong engagement in international projects, it fosters an inspiring environment for the development of knowledge, creativity, and socially responsible solutions.
Contribution to the RISTANC project
Within the RISTANC project, UNG leads the internal review of its environmental study programmes, focusing on transdisciplinarity. Together with partners, it will take part in study visits to exchange good practices in transdisciplinary teaching. Based on these insights, UNG will redesign Master’s and PhD study programs, develop a microcredential and pilot it through a summer school in 2027, followed by joint evaluation. These activities support RISTANC’s goal of tackling complex sustainability challenges through cross-sector collaboration and mission-oriented transdisciplinary research.
