Description of organization
The Municipality of Ankaran is a local community situated on the coast of Slovene Istria, next to the border with Italy. Main activities of the Municipality are management of public services and matters of public interest, as well as investment and maintenance of public infrastructure (education, health, culture, sport, maintenance of public areas and roads, water supply, electricity, waste management, care for the elderly, NGOs, public property management, care for the environment…). The Municipality of Ankaran has established the Landscape Park Debeli rtič, which comprises sea and land areas, in June of 2018. It has since taken the duty of managing the protected area and focused its activities at the beginning towards organizing and actively ensuring the supervision and protection of the natural values.
Our contribution to the RISTANC project
The municipality of Ankaran will contribute primarily in the field of local implementation of interventions that will be developed within the scope of project activities and the integration of solutions into decision-making processes and structures.
