Brief description of the organization
Central European University (CEU) is a private university located in Vienna offering graduate level degree programs in social sciences, law and the humanities, including Master and PhD programs in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management. The university is promoting the values of open society and self-reflective critical thinking to educate new generations of pioneers, and problem-solvers who challenge conventional wisdom and address critical societal issues of the 21st century.
Contribution to the RISTANC project
CEU is represented in the RISTANC project by its Department of Environmental Sciences and Policy and by the Yehuda Elkana Center for Teaching, Learning and Higher Education Research. As one of the academic partners in the project, CEU will contribute to the creation and piloting of a new microcredential course to enhance skills in transdisciplinary approaches for sustainability, and through an enhancement-led peer assessment process help the University of Nova Gorica redesign and improve its Master’s and PhD programs in Environmental Science.
