On 18th of March 2026 the project RISTANC will be part of an event bringing together diverse projects involving Slovenian seas. The event will take place at Marina Izola and is titled “Co-creating local innovations – Marina Izola as a space for sustainable solutions for a clean sea.” Pilot activities and technological innovations will be showcased, which aim at reducing micro and macroplastic pollution in the marine environment and have been developed as part of the REMEDIES project. RISTANC will be featured as part of a roundtable discussion highlighting synergies between EU Mission projects and other European projects.
The event is bringing together researchers, industry representatives, local authorities and members of the coastal community to exchange knowledge and explore practical solutions for cleaner seas. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about pilot technologies and approaches tested in the Slovenian marine area and to discuss how collaborative approaches can strengthen marine governance and environmental protection.
